Wellness and Care for Chronic Pain

Wellness Care
There is nothing better than our patients preventing illness, disease, and injury. According to the CDC, up to 70% of chronic conditions in adults were once preventable. Caring for chronic illness and injury is also expensive and lifelong. Most patients who begin care at Dr. Super’s House of Health remain lifelong patients who are passionate about their health and wellness. This does not mean every wellness patient is a health junky who exercises regularly, drinks nothing but water, and never gets sick. A wellness patient is someone who realizes that their body is a sophisticated machine with incredible healing potential. These patients believe in their body’s ability to heal without always running for drugs and surgery.
When our body is experiencing symptoms, we often wait for our body to “scream” at us before addressing the issue. Instead, we can teach our patients how to listen to their body “whisper” warnings instead of waiting for symptoms to “scream”.
Wellness patients know that adjustments can be as effective as two antibiotics when treating sinus or inner ear infections. Wellness patients know their immune system will need a boost after they get over a stomach bug. Wellness patients know that the small “tweak” they felt in their ankle while running can alter their gait without a quick check-up at our office. Our wellness patients know that a newborn with colic, poor sleep quality, and gas can be a result of an underlying birth injury that untreated, can follow the child into adulthood as an insidious chronic condition.
If you would rather prevent injury, illness, and disease, then wellness/preventative care is for you!
As Benjamin Franklin once said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Chronic Conditions Patients
Managing chronic conditions can be expensive and stressful. Chiropractic is considered to be one of the cheapest ways to manage chronic conditions and can reduce the use of drugs and surgical procedures. Dr. Super has been working with chronic pain patients for years. As a chronic pain patient with complex comorbidities, Dr. Super knows first hand how hard it can be to find a physician who validates their patients feelings and experiences while providing solutions.
Most chronic pain patients at our office have a significant reduction in symptoms severity and frequency, while others find their chronic conditions finally resolved themselves under chiropractic care. Our goal for chronic pain patients is to get them to a maintenance plan that requires occasional check-ups to manage persistent and chronic conditions. We equip our patients with at home stretches, PT exercises, and education about their conditions so that they can take control of their health.
We also offer a chronic pain support group through Zoom on the first Thursday of every month. Email us to be added to the zoom call or if you have any questions about what we can do for your health as a chronic pain patient, call us at 610-601-9011.
